"Tim, I'd like to thank you for an awesome holiday / experience in Nepal. All the organisation was much appreciated and the good humour with which you ran the trip. The mountain was of course amazing too and it will be a month to remember for along time to come. Again thanks" - Rik

Partha, Chris and Susan in the famous Khumbu Icefall. The sense of history makes this place amazingly poignant

Setting off for a foray in to The Khumbu Icefall. Other parties can be seen further ahead off in the distance.

Ice forms strange sculptures on the lower slopes of Everest

Looking over towards Lingtren - a prominent peak overlooking Everest Base Camp

The Khumbu Icefall is a vast sea of ice taking you from Everest Base Camp up in to The Western Cwm

Crossing a ladder in The Khumbu Icefall

Chris climbing a ladder in the central part of The Khumbu Icefall. Note the karabiner clipped in to the rope and the obligatory smile.

Another whacky ice feature.

Nature at its best.

Chris and Susan gaining height in the complex maze of ladders, crevasses, seracs and snow slopes.

Stopping to rehydrate in The Khumbu Icefall. Even though it's a sea of ice at 5,700m dehydration can be a real issue if you don't look after yourself properly.

As can sunburn and snowblindness if the appropriate measures aren't taken.

More ice features as we were getting towards Camp 1 at the top of the Icefall.

A bendy (but perfectly serviceable) ladder.

A floating ladder! At the beginning of the expedition this ladder spanned the crevasse but by the time we had summited Everest and were on the way down it was no longer wide enough to span the ever widening gap.

The magnificent Pumori which dominates the view above Everest Base Camp and is clearly visible for the descent through the Khumbu Icefall

Now all you need to do is get in touch about TheBigE2012 and experience it for yourself

Climbing Sherpas on an Everest expedition are an integral part of your team. Make sure you are with the best - not necessarily the ones with the most summits.

The summit of Mount Everest

A Mount Everest Expedition is hard enough work without it also being a chore. If it's not any fun then it is going to be a long expedition.

The views from the summit of Mount Everest are simply stunning.

Togged up and raring to go. Departing Camp 2 on our Everest expedition in cold and windy conditions in 2005.

Approaching the summit of Mount Everest

On the summit of Mount Everest. What a great place to be.
